We should try to get rid of this liability asap. Let's track upstream's progress here.
upstream has merged qt6 support: https://github.com/nextcloud/desktop/pull/4584
Nice! All of these were pushed just after the recent release, hopefully this means we can close this bug after the next. This will need a bit of ebuild work - qt5/qt6 + switching webengine to qt6 only Also the deps for dolphin, seeing the mask message for recently added plasma 6
For simplicity, and to adjust to the reality of Qt5-based DEs already on the way out, just drop Qt5 support when you do the Qt6-based bump.
The bug has been closed via the following commit(s): https://gitweb.gentoo.org/repo/gentoo.git/commit/?id=18b392688f9d9f834fc21fb0d6a8e080a8073461 commit 18b392688f9d9f834fc21fb0d6a8e080a8073461 Author: Florian Schmaus <flow@gentoo.org> AuthorDate: 2024-10-22 10:28:25 +0000 Commit: Florian Schmaus <flow@gentoo.org> CommitDate: 2024-10-23 19:07:34 +0000 net-misc/nextcloud-client: add 3.14.3, port to qt6 Thanks to asturm for valuable feedback.
